True Love Poem

True Love

I fall on the cloud below me

Stare out the window , blowing the curtains onto my feet

I can hardly breathe

A smile so true, so sweet

Holding on every thought of you

Smiling, can't believe it is true

Waiting for your return to me

I will be waiting by our tree

I already miss your touch

Your tender kisses you put on my temple

Hurry home, its all to much

Your words are comfort and gentle

I can sit by my window all year

Waiting, waiting I will have no fear

When I see you come towards the door I will run

Embrace you, warm each other since there is no sun

No, you are not of wealth or glory

You can not provide for me

I can not wait to tell people our story

You slipped the silver band around my pale finger

The happiness I felt was not able to linger

Nights go by, you became weak

The winter is so cold, you are no longer able to speak

Our declaration of love was on hold

You became ill

I didn't want to believe what I was told

This isn't free will

I held your hand, praying

I slept alone, begging us isn't fraying

You speak your last words under you your breath

I cry on your chest, don't end in death!

This Poem Was Inspired By The Movie Bright Star. Also The Love Story Of John Keats.

Painted Roses

Painted Roses

Roses, white we know

Roses should be red

Roses pale, the color of snow

Paint these roses, or off with our heads

Dip, dip hurry I hear the crow

Red drips, without it we would be dead

Loud trumpets roar

Hearts on my left

Spades on my right

My head down on the ground

Paint brush in hand

Red heels before my eyes, stand

Anger becomes her

People fear for sure

Mistakes are taken place

The Queen is left with no grace

Red on her hand

Her voice screams louder then a band

Run, the ground moves

The green grass with red spots, is what proves

Apologies my queen

We did not want to be part of this scene

No mercy given with red

Its off with my head

This Century

So today I was suggested a band to listen to from my friend. That band was This Century. I was a little un sure. She said that the lead singers voice is like 'chocolate' so.. delicious leaving you craving for more. And the music was soothing and yet upbeat. So when I got home I went to their myspace. Omg she was so right. They got me on the first song. Now I wish I waited on buying music from itunes (I buy music every once in awhile so its a big deal) I am tempted to just go ahead and buy more music. Check out their music. And I am pretty sure you will love them as well. Tell me what you think about them.

The Past by Brittany Overheu

So quiet in the abandon house down the stone walk way
The trees cover the house with its leaves
The over grown grass cover the foot steps laid in the mud
I come to this house every now and then
I sit on the dinning room chair with dust on the floors
I stare out the window hoping no one will find me
The house hidden in the woods
I find refuge
The windows are not clear but I trust them
The floors cover with dust I know there is a wood floor underneath
I never want to leave the silence
There is no light with the chandler hanging above my head
But I rather the lights not be on
As I sit in this chair I wonder when this house was a home
Was there a cracking fire with a family sitting around with smiles trying to get warm
Or was this house a hell for a family, fights and screams for the children having to endure
How many people have sat in this spot
I imagine classic music playing in this old wooden house
Hold on, whats that I see
The dark wood floors are stained with tears
The pink and blue flower wallpaper walls are painted with happiness
The lace curtains over the kitchen window draped with memories that no one will keep
I sit here in this chair, alone
I never want to leave
I can hear the wind calling my name
But I want things to stay the same
My body shifted towards the door
My foot steps making creaks on the floor
I reach for the glass door knob
With motions so few my eyes shut
Sun in my face, wind in my hair
My eyes slowly opened to something new
Flowers in bloom, trees swaying with the wind, nature it sings
If I was stuck in that house I would not be able to enjoy these wonderful things
I picked up my white long summer dress
Ran in the grass and stone path bare foot
Found myself on top of a hill
Laid down with the sun down beaming on me
Night falls, I counted the stars, fell asleep on the grass underneath me
Woke up to find myself in the house again
I peaked out the stained window blowing off the dust
The grass over grown, dead tree leaves covered the sky
I sat back down in the chair with a stare
Held my head in my hands
Tears filled my eyes
"Only a dream!" I yelled
With the fury in me got up
Tore down the flower wallpaper off the walls
I took the broom and swepped the dusty floors
Yanked the curtains off the wall
Took a rag and wiped the dirty windows
Looked down to what I was wearing
There was no dress but a tee and jeans
Still barefoot but all this but inside didn't change
I went towards the door once more
Felt the glass knob against my hand
This time no hesitation
Even though this would question my sanity
As the door open the sun again on my face
Instead of running out the door
I looked back into the house
The house was a home
Cream walls with family pictures
Fireplace with a crackling fire
Windows are clear
I am so confused, I thought
But all I had to do is add light to this house
I was stuck and didn't want to move
But now I know this house holds me back
It holds me something from greater things
I want to experience this life and not be stuck in this house no more

Alejandro by Lady Gaga

Oh.. where do I began. Today, was Lady Gaga's premiere of her music video Alejandro. I am a big fan of Lady Gaga. But this video did not impress me at all. In fact, I felt like it was to much. I look up to Lady Gaga because she is unique and stays true. But this video was awkward to watch, and did not make sense to the song. I have liked Lady Gaga's past music video but this one is thumbs down for me. No, the 'gay' scenes did not bother me. In fact I was excited to see how she would pull that off in our world today. And sad to say she did not pull it off well. I believe she was trying to hard and was cheesy. Felt like a Lady Gaga impersonator. Maybe next time Lady Gaga. If you have not seen the video and want to watch it. (Make sure your children are out of the room. And if you are a teen make sure your parents and siblings dont watch.) Have fun this week everyone. If you want me to share my views on a band or fashion etc. Let me know in the comment section.

City and Colour

If you haven't heard of this one man band yet. You should. Dallas Green aka City (his name is a city) and Colour (his last name because its a color) Clever isn't ? Dallas Green was also the lead singer of Alexisonfire. I prefer his solo project because you can hear the softness and peaceful sound when he sings. I love to listen to him when all you need is calm music to relax too. "The Girl" happens to be my favorite song of his. I listen to it non-stop. There is a lot more of his songs that are just amazing with his words and his music. His music is a must on your ipod/mp3 player. Tell me what you think of City and Colour and what your favorite song is?! Until next time.

mewithoutYou!

I just came across this band on Thursday night. My youth leader suggested them. Even though their music is odd, not the norm, and people might not give them a chance they are great. They are a Christian band. I would love to go in detail what they are about and overview on how they became a band. But that is what Wikipedia is for. Instead I would like to talk about their music style. The music is gorgeous in its self but the singer is what makes the band odd. And their lyrcs. The singer (Aaron) has an interesting voice. Some people would say he can't sing but I look at it as his voice makes the music pretty. His voice makes you listen to the lyrics. The type of music that describe this band is folk, rock, and odd. Lol. I like only a few songs of this band but they would have to be in my top 10 songs of all time. Check them out on myspace. I also recommend that you go to youtube and what their music video for The fox, the crow, and the cookie.

Enjoy!
